A message to our national servicemen and community
FY2024/2025 marked 40 Years of Total Defence — a milestone we honoured by inviting every Singaporean to pledge their part in keeping our nation strong. Across our clubs, our radio and content arm, and our veterans' league, this report shares the moments, the milestones, and the members who made the year meaningful.
Every event we organised this year, from a first-aid demonstration on a rainy afternoon to a 40,000-strong Open House, was really about one thing: making sure no national serviceman ever feels his service goes unnoticed.

5,800 Strong: Inside SAFRA Swim for Hope 2024
A record of over 5,800 national servicemen and their families took part in the 14th edition of SAFRA Swim for Hope, held from 1 September to 27 October 2024. Participants swam at their own convenience at any swimming facility islandwide, logging their distances online across individual categories (1km, 15km, 55km), a Families for Life parent-and-child category, and a team category that invited groups of five or more to clock 250km together.
The event raised over $305,000 to support five beneficiaries — the NCSS Special Assistance Fund, Society for the Physically Disabled, President's Challenge, SAF Care Fund and the Singapore Aquatics Development Fund — funded through registration fees, corporate donations and crowdfunding among participants' own supporters. The finale at SAFRA Tampines was graced by Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force, who joined the swim and presented the cheque of funds raised to the five beneficiaries.

SAF Veterans' League
Honouring those who served
SAFVL co-organised the Remembrance Day and Civilian War Memorial ceremonies, and reached over 10,000 students through Commitment to Defence engagement sessions.

Marking 40 Years of Total Defence, the campaign invited the public to pledge their part across all six pillars, from cyber vigilance to community care.

17th SAFRA Awards
140 volunteers and organisations honoured for their contributions to national servicemen, including 108 Long Service Awards of up to 35 years.

Cyber Trust Mark, three times over
SAFRA, So Drama! Entertainment and NSRCC were each awarded the Cyber Trust Mark by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore.

TD40: I Pledge Total Defence
Marking 40 Years of Total Defence, the campaign gathered over 82,000 online pledges from the public between April and October 2024.

51 Excellent Service Awards
SAFRA staff were conferred 51 EXSA awards in 2024 — 20 Star, 16 Gold and 15 Silver — a national award supported by Enterprise Singapore.

NSRCC Charity Golf raises $300,000
The 29th edition of NSRCC's signature charity golf event supported four beneficiaries, including the SAF Care Fund and President's Challenge.

New tenants across our clubs
SAFRA welcomed new tenants and enhanced facilities across its clubs — from the Starlit Pavilion at Punggol to a refreshed EnergyOne gym at Mount Faber.

Looking Forward
2025 marks SG60 and SAF60 — SAFRA is using both milestones to bring defence closer to the community and keep investing in its clubs.
Celebrating SG60 & SAF60
A 4-day SG60 SAFRA Family Fiesta, the SAFRA Bayfront National Day Celebration, and a new SAFRA Fitness Festival bring national servicemen and their families together in 2025/2026.
Enhancing PREP4NS
From early 2026, pre-enlistees get extended discounted EnergyOne gym membership, IPPT training programmes and discounted shooting courses at SAFRA Yishun.
Growing our clubs
Upgrades continue at SAFRA Toa Payoh, Yishun and Jurong, alongside the new NSRCC Social & Recreation Hub (end-2027) and a new SAFRA Bayshore clubhouse targeted for 2030.
